Oneida Savings has become aware that several customers have reported receiving a text message similar to the following examples:
“Your attention is required call ...”Calling the phone number listed in the text message plays an audio message requesting the caller to enter card number and PIN.
These text messages are NOT being generated by Oneida Savings*. These are phishing tactics that are being attempted in the hopes of retrieving actual customer debit or credit card numbers. If you receive such a text message, please simply delete it.
If you have already received one, called the number, and provided your card and/or PIN number, then please contact our Solutions Center at (315)363-2000. We will cancel your debit card and order a replacement card to protect your account from potential fraudulent transactions.
*Please note that Oneida Savings will never contact its customers through electronic means and then request private information such as account numbers, card numbers, passwords, or PINs, in an automated fashion.
